Grain Scoop Fail

My wife bought me a plastic scoop for my grain a while back which was brilliant until I cracked it so looked for a stronger one on ebay. Found a metal one, ordered, arrived today but wasn't quite what I expected. Did make me laugh, I really should read the desriptions thoroughly :lol:

That might just do for specialty grains but then I only ever by a kg or two at a time so not much need of one.

I use the largest bowl from this set

I just scoop up the grain with this, full it holds about 2Kg, and it happily sits on my scales.

I something similar as you have PJ, but larger, SS from B&Q and cost about a tenner

I use the same scoop I use for my hens - grain and layer's pellets - I give it a wipe first. Does this make me a bad person?

I just use a plastic dog food scooper holds about 0.5Kg at a time, never seen the need for anything larger

I use a pan..stainless naturally, I also use a 30ltr plastic dog food bin over the shoulder :lol:

You're right, I really should get some form of stainless vessel, what was I thinking using plastic :shock:

All our pans are stainless so I don't have much choice really :lol:

I just throw the entire sack in.

Mash in the bag, like it and easy to clean up afterwards :lol:

If it's any help, I use a 1ltr plastic measuring jug.

mine is aluminium from ebay holds about 700g a scoop
