I've done two "Design A Brew" brews form the recipe sheet and a third which is my own design is ready to go. Little bottler

I found it saves a lot of time, just touch the bottom of the bottle with it and wait till you her the pitch of the noise rise as the beer hits the neck of the bottle, and remove, perfect fill every time and no need to operate a tap. Well worth the fiver or so imho.

    Alfloc Hydrometer.

Doesnt matter ??, just swap the number around and deduct, you will still get the difference in "gravity" required for working out ABV.

    Campden tablet oops?

Just filled my second FV with coopers ceveza but decided to try it with half a campden to stop that TCP taste, i pitched it in with the water then added the kit syrup and yeast, will the campden kill the yeast? i've seen conflicting statements about if it will or wont :wha:

Taking a sample for checking gravity

Hi, In my starter kit i have a sample tube, how do people fill this? first time i just dunked it in (it was sterile) but is there a better way? My larger(Coopers Australian) started at 1053 and is now at 1010 after 4 days, sound about right? Its been pretty constant at 22 degrees.
