    Brew Night - Hoppy American Pale Ale (hop-bomb)

    Looks good. I weigh out my hop additions as I go, rather than weigh them all out in advance, so I don't accidentally stick the wrong one in at the wrong time. I've also made the mistake of starting a brew late in the afternoon and not finishing until stupid o'clock.

    Using a Muslin bag over my siphon

    I've done this, it works well. Didn't notice anything missing from the finished beer. Without some sort of filter you'll clog the siphon.

    Do I have to rinse Milton?

    You don't have to rinse in terms of safety, but in terms of flavour, you definitely should rinse. It has a strong TCP type of aroma, which you definitely don't want in your bottles. (Babies either don't mind, or don't know to complain)

    Blowout happened to me last night. I just used a syphon (from wilko) and a bottle. The wand part of the syphon fits perfectly in an airlock bung.
