    Programmable Temperature & Time Controller

Ah I saw that ages ago but forgot about it. I think I'll do that, should be relatively easy. I already have all the bits. I may be in touch though!

    Programmable Temperature & Time Controller

That's what I was thinking, I'd get the grainfather functionality that way too. I'll keep looking but may resort to that. Where do you see it for £90 btw? I saw The Home Brewery sell it.

    Programmable Temperature & Time Controller

Ah I see, I thought you could set intervals with that. Thanks for the link, I may get one of those in the meant time.

    Programmable Temperature & Time Controller

Hello there, I'm after a temperature controller that can handle time control so it can do a stepped mash through to boil, basically to replicate a grainfather controller. Ideally it would be able to ramp up to the next step before the timer started too. Any ideas on what to get? I've seen this...

    Ace electric boilers?

Jas I've got the 1600w, it seems perfectly fine. Produces a decent rolling boil and heats up pretty quickly (can't remember the time off the top of my head).

It'll be ready on Saturday so I'll tell you then! It was an English Pale Ale. Fingers crossed it'll be good. How about yours, guessing it's not ready yet?

    Elderflower Ale

Just done my first Elderflower Ale, still cooling (will be a while as I still don't have a cooler!). Thought I'd do one that the GF would enjoy! I used the recipe from 'Home Brew Beer' and upper the elderflowers by a third to a get a bit more punch. This is my 2nd all grain brew, the first...

    Ace electric boilers?

I've just done my first brew using one of these (after fixing the tap that was leaking). All seems to have gone well, I'm just waiting for it to cool down, I need to make an immersion cooler as it's probably going to take 12 hours to cool!

    1st attempt at AG

dafbach, well done on the first AG brew. I did mine a couple of weeks ago and bottled after 10 days, although I didn't measure the SG (next time!). It's very difficult to hold out for 6 week...but hopefully I'll manage the next month. I hope they turn out well.

    Ace electric boilers?

Glad to hear it as I've just ordered one, should arrive tomorrow! I may have ordered a 10 litre FV as well...ooops. I'm hoping my ingredients will be turning up shortly too so I can do a brew towards the end of the week.
