Force carbonating...just can't get it right

Loads of good advice there, thanks. I'm guessing that if I'm doing lagers / ciders I can go higher on the psi (maybe 40?) to get the proper 'fizz'?

Force carbonating...just can't get it right

I'm now on my 4th and 5th corny kegs of lager and cider and no matter how much pressure I put into the kegs, the brew always tastes flat to me. Does anyone have an idiot-proof method I could use?

    Is my Cerveza dead?

I noticed when pitching that the yeast seemed a bit 'clumpy' but didn't fret too much, just gave it a good stir and let it get on. It seemed to be a pretty weak fermentation with not a lot happening through the airlock. Now it is 8 days gone and nothing has been out of the airlock for about 2...

    Spumante in a corny keg?

My Mrs is a huge fan of asti and I was wondering if anyone could advise me on a recipe / kit to make this and how to force carbonate in a corny keg (rather than a secondary fermentation in the bottle)?

Excellent! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: (still can't understand why all the ones I see are quoted as 5/16 out when you can't get beer line that size) :wha:

    in line flow controllers

I'm a bit of a newby to using corny kegs, but have read a fair amount about flow control issues leading to excess frothing etc. I've seen flow controllers on ebay, but they all state they are 3/16th in and 5/16th out. I have 3/16th beer line which is fine, but what about the 5/16th out? There...

    Hello All

We've bought a wee place near Almoradi on the Segura river (South West of alicante). About an acre and a half of land...so enough room for chickens, food and extra fruit, grains etc to keep me and Mrs H in the demon drink...hopefully!

    Hello All

Great advice :thumb: I am (along with trying to learn about brewing/winemaking) currently reading avidly on the subject of keeping chickens. Corn seems to be a good feed for chickens, and there are quite a few brewing recipes for it, so I'll definitely be growing large amounts of the stuff...

    Hello All

Just to warn you all, I'm new to this hobby as well as the board, so will likely make a fool of myself asking stupid questions that you've all answered a thousand times already! My wife and I plan to leave work (and this country) soon and try our hands at a "Good Life" type of existence. As...
