    Thanks, the long term aim for me is a corny setup, I just want to make sure I get it right with the basics and manage to knock out a half decent beer before commiting, I've told myself if I can get half decent by Christmas then I'll invest in the new year 😀

    Yea tested it in water and seems to be giving the right reading, going to make some more of this, go over the instructions carefully, make sure im sanitising everything well and see what round 2 brings 😶

    Fg was 1.012 Used fuggles pellet hops, followed the clibit method, I would say it tastes more dry, deffo not really sweet.

    Thanks for the quick reply! I bottled, left on the side for a week, transfered to a fridge for a week and then outside into a plastic storage shed. Was stable Fg, didn't cold crash and I'm no expert at all but judging by the way it spurted out of the bottle, probably for a full minute, losing...

    Happy Saturday everyone, So 3 weeks ago I bottled up my first attempt at a SMASH. 3 weeks on its still cloudy as anything.....I opened a bottle to see if it had at least primed and it looks like I over primed it as it fizzed over the neck disturbing the sediment...I did try some and it tastes...

    Thats what it is! I ordered the 32 pint one (deffo did its in my emails) but checked the recycling bin and they sent 40 pint one....so disappointed that I've not got the 32 pint but also relieved that I haven't messed it up.....yet! Thanks...once again.....😁😁

    I know I shouldn't lift the lid again but I've double checked now its cooler and it's still reading the same, and it is a 40 pint kit....not doing very well with this brewing lark at the moment 😒😕
