    Crash Chill?

Read on an other forum that you can add Champagne yeast if this happens. Would you need a whole packet or only a pinch? I'll be batch priming 23 litres.

    Crash Chill?

So I turned the fridge down as low as it would go and have created a large beer slush puppy 😔 If there's a way to ruin a batch of beer I'll find it. I've turn the fridge back up to its middle setting in the hope it's going to thaw out. Have I damaged the beer and killed the yeast I need for...

    Crash Chill?

Well that decided it. I've the brewing fridge turned down as low as it will go. I'll check in three or four days and see how it's going. Cheers.

    Crash Chill?

That's what I was thinking. The kit instructions want it bottled at this point but imagine a thick layer of trub would be left behind after carbing.

    Crash Chill?

So, I've brewed a Mangrove Jacks Helles and it's extremely cloudy. I am going to put it into Perfect Draft kegs with priming sugar to carbonate. What I'm not sure is wether to crash chill it for a few days to clear, rack it and mix in the priming sugar. Or to rack, prime, carbonate for two weeks...

    Beer books

Can anyone recommend any good books on beer? I'm ashamed to say my knowledge doesn't extend much outside of lagers and stouts. Been watching YouTube videos on different yeasts you can get for brewing, and they're talking about French Saisons, Belgian Tripels and English Bitters. Traveling with...

    Tiny Brewing Space

Yeah the cupboard idea has been abandoned. Managed to get a fridge for free off Gumtree and got a 60w heater from Amazon. Going down the brew fridge route.

    Batch Priming For a Novice

Hi Got myself a Phillips PerfectDraft machine and 5 kegs to go with it. Looking to refill these with a Mangrove Jacks Lager kit when I've emptied 4 of them. I've made a ton of wine kits over the years but I'm pretty much a novice when it comes to making beer and cider. I could do the kits no...

    Tiny Brewing Space

Thanks very much for this. That video looks earily like the space I've got. Think I might do something similar. All grain looks like a distant dream at the minute though.

    Tiny Brewing Space

Yeah, unfortunately I got my marching orders from brewing in the house. I've got a 3m X 1.5m space at the front of the garage that I can dedicate to brewing. Problem with that is it's draughty and the door acts like a large black solar panel when the sun's out. That's why I need to create...

    Tiny Brewing Space

So I've been brewing wine kits with great success for years and I'm now looking to get into beer and cider kits. I have limited time, space and money so this is a question for those that do kits rather than all grain. I'm planning on buyiny 4 x 5ltr stainless mini-kegs and a dispenser that takes...
