Has anyone tried brewing a plum porter using plum jam instead of actual fruit?

Can anyone point me at a recipe for a hoppy Christmas beer? I will be using Maris Otter malt with a modest addition of chocolate and crystal malt. Hops available to use from my cupboard are: Goldings; Styrian Goldings; Willamette; Cascade and Calypso. Dave
