Brewday #3 - Coopers Mexican Cerveza

Due to life getting in the way this has been stuck in the FV for a month! Is it destined to go down the drain or still worth bottling?

    Genuine group brew day

Hi Kev, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Seems like a great idea for someone like me who lacks the space to go AG at the moment. My only concern would be transportation but otherwise see no faults with it. After sampling some of yours, it would certainly appeal to me and be a great...

    First Ever Brew

I wouldnt call it a good head on the pour, its large bubbles and over active. Not a huge fizz I dont think when opening but I didnt pay a huge amount off attention at that point. The body once settled is lacking activity, its more of an ale body than lager.

    First Ever Brew

I tried another last night after its been in the cold for a good few weeks then fridge chilled for a few days. It still has a lot of activity to begin with but the body is more like a pale ale in terms of carbonation. I thought the cold conditioning would make the CO2 reabsorb into the liquid...

    fermentation bucket

There were two very recently that were up but did go for around £30 with a few bits and bobs. Just keep an eye out and the for sale section here when guys move to AG or BIAB and you may find some. Im also in the market for another but think ill just buy a normal bin with tap.

    BIAB bag

    Rookie mistake.

    Priming bottles with a syringe?

Do your little bottlers leak? Mine has a fairly constant drip from it and requires a tub below to catch spillage.

Brewday #3 - Coopers Mexican Cerveza

I thought it was fairly poorly stocked? They dont even have an online presence which is staggering these days.

Brewday #3 - Coopers Mexican Cerveza

After bottling the Irish Stout with treacle and chocolate I still had some time so decided to do brew number three. The problem was I had very little in the way of brew kit and the nearest LHBS is over an hour way in Edinburgh so had to use what I had lying around. So instead of the...

Brewday 2 - Coopers Brewmaster Irish Stout with...

Bottled today and it smells lovely. Most of it went in 500ml bottles with one coopers carb drops and I also done one 5l mini keg primed with 9x drops which may bit a tad too much but im experimenting with these kegs just now. Its now back in the warm where it will stay for a few weeks then...

Brew number 2 - Coopers Australian Lager

You know its the same thing that has stopped me so far too. :D My mate is a manager in a larger boozer in town and has said im welcome to bottles but i need to get them myself. I can order 24x500ml coopers PETs for £10 online and been too lazy so far to get the glass. Storage of the PETS is...

Brewday 2 - Coopers Brewmaster Irish Stout with...

I signed up for your site earlier actually so will use it when im on. I pretty much learn something new on this site every day, I had no idea about the UK ABV being different. I forgot about the increase for priming so thankfully that will bring it back up. I must admit, i have enjoyed the...

Brewday 2 - Coopers Brewmaster Irish Stout with...

Is that because of the difference in Gallons? 4.26% is a lot lighter than I was hoping for but you live and learn. If I can get the other FV's cleaned up i'll move it there for a week but no syphoning equipment yet and no tap on the other FVs so will need a day or two for an order (No LHBS for...

    Best train route.

Would be a million forms for each stall, then the land owner... :D What it is really is an 'architecture of necessity'. People doing what they need to do to live and get by and it really does work without the sugar coatings and OTT safety we have here.

    Best train route.

I seen a few examples of that throughout Asia and India but none quite so extreme. We are wrapped in cotton wool here, people just make things work in other places.
