Instant cooler - Lindr PYGMY 20 & photos

Fore, many thanks for taking the time to test out the volumes for me. I bottle at the moment and as Steve has suggested, for one pint a night, I may be better to stick with that and I was thinking of turning the unit on each day at beer o'clock on a timer which might not be the best idea. I am...

Many thanks for your replies. I was thinking of maybe getting one of the two tap models. Yes I would be really keen to know Fore what your measured volume is. Cheers

Instant cooler - Lindr PYGMY 20 & photos

I am considering using one of these machines to dispense one pint a night. Would I have to run off and waste any beer each evening? Approximately how much beer is in the machine. Many thanks.

    Element locking nut issue

If anyone could supply a shroud for the 2.75kw 1 9/16" elements I would be very grateful as I had to remove my new element after its first brew and now the supplied shroud is not holding. A shroud that I have had for around 30 odd years is fine as it is different plastic and it has more thread...

    Element locking nut issue

Hi Morebeer, has the locknut arrived as I was interested in confirmation that it fitted ok. To double check are we talking about the 2.75kw elements? What does one then do to provide a shroud please, or is the locknut slim enough for the original supplied shroud to fit on as well?

    Polypin Question

Another reason to prime polypins is that if you then drink the beer fairly slowly you will get a co2 layer form above the beer (also created by slowly fermenting sugars in the wort) and the PP will only tend to cave in when nearly empty. If you don't prime the top of the polypin will...

    Refractor

Refractometers are IMO very useful for various stages of the brewing process including FG, you just use software once wort has started fermenting, this is not a fault just a simple necessity. However the only software that I have found to be accurate for refractometers is Graham Wheeler's Beer...

Is filing out the Tank Connector my only option?

Sorry, only just read thread. If its not too late IMO its far easier to just buy a 15mm male coupler and a 15mm female coupler and screw them together either side of the vessel wall with a washer obviously on the male coupler. You can then easily attach 15mm pipework either side to attach a tap...

    Polypin Question

If you ferment your beer right out you obviously do need to prime in the polypin otherwise it will be unpalatable and flat. If people are confusing polypins with the very flimsy wine bag in a box type thing, the latter will not take any conditioning pressure but polypins will take a smallish...
