    John Venables released again!!

I'd like to think that offenders could be rehabilitated particularly lesser crime. I do like the idea of outsourcing our overcrowded jails with some purpose 'built' units in China, and let them moan about subtitles for Sky Sports, and 20 people to a cell over there. Surely that would be a...

    Wife Swap Feedback

mine must have been under some pressure, coz bye eck did it squirt some when popped, covered in sticky, sweet Dizzy Blonde juice. Now I guess if I wash it and sanitize it, I can use it again, fill it with something of my own, put a humorous label on it and then show it to my mates, or if...

    wooden floor or laminate

so 2-2 in terms of wood/laminate. Laminate we have seen is manufactured by Pergo, supposedly they developed the click system. So I'd probably go with them, or Quickstep. I have read that English oak is much stronger than the quick grown US version, and so carries a price hike over US or other...

    wooden floor or laminate

we are looking to replace our downstairs carpet (dining room, lounge, hall, study) and are thinking about wood, albeit laminate, engineered or solid. Anybody any experience with this, I think the laminate products are relatively universal, but wood seems to be far more variable, both in...

Manchester Brewers - Free Brewery Yeast (By Appointment!)

great offer Darcey, thanks. TBH I havent heard of the micro, which pubs do you supply, I'm always looking to try out new beers, and will be brewing in a week or so, so this is good timing. Any pointers on the yeast washing side, I've never repitched yet. :thumb: hb

    Coopers Original Stout Review

this is my friends first attempt at brewing. I tasted one last night, and I was impressed, he was unsure if it had turned out as expected. I was surprised that I didnt get an overwhelming hit of dark grain, it was very smooth and rich, hints of fruit ie plums, with a hint of soft liquorice or...

    Dry Hopping Plans

I'm sure I heard of people using a magnet in a muslin bag of hops, with a cornie. Hence with the magnet on the outer can be slid along and the bag can be submerged or lifted out of the ale without having to open.

    Sare stanes

you're doing the right thing, get it sorted as soon as. My dad had trouble with gallstones, in the end getting jaundice etc, doc said after his op that it was causing a fusion I think to his pancreas, it was quite a concern at the time. But they are very common, I think most middle aged people...

    primary

I have my APA in primary for 6 days, still got a nice thick head on it but seems to have hit FG 1012 ish, with US05. Not used this yeast before was expecting it to have dropped thru the beer by now. Unsure whether I should just crash cool now, as it's in a fermenting fridge, or wait, it's still...

    Beer Studio

Saw a new conditioning guest/pump clip in my local, checked their website, sounded interesting, a new developing microbrewery near Media City Manchester, called The Beer Studio. New hop varieties and more adventurous recipes, really got me excited. Went back last night and the beer was on. Had...
