got 23.5l at 1.047 so i am happy with that

what temp do i ferment this at please

Good one Darren :thumb: , with S-23 ideal temperature is 12C, and as Aleman says 1 day for every 4 gravity points, in your case 12 days.

If you used normal lager yeast ferment at 18 - 20 degrees c :D
You are kidding Wendy?

If you are using a real lager yeast then ferment at 12-14C. If you go much higher than this the yeast will produce a load of esters that they will be unable to clean up at the end of fermentation. A Lager yeast fermented 'warm' will produce a nasty ale like beer . . . much more so than an ale yeast fermented cool.

has wendys post been edited as that makes no sense
i had got some youngs lager yeast that i was going to use
but i can change this to somthing else if its no good
cheers guys

I shouldn't ferment it too cold then, follow the instructions on the pkt as youngs lager yeast may or may not be a true lager yeast.

UP

it says nothing on the packet about temperature but i can get a different yeast tomorrow as i will be driving past a lhbs
a few recomendations of yeast please
so i have a couple of options when i am at the shop
cheers
