:hmm: :hmm: What are the dimensions on that coil Baz . . . I'm thinking that it would make a great HERMS coil . . . Especially If I got a 6L Thermobox to house it in :hmm: :hmm:

The Coil outside dimensions are 140 mm across 240 mm high, total overall height including 'tails' 400 mm

found where I got it from :!: it's gone up in price a bit

Here

At 240 High that's a bit too tall for the 6L Thermobox which has a 250mm external height . . . but would fit inside as its 250mm external diameter so about 200mm Internal :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

Just ordered myself a Buffalo 40L. Need some advice on installing ball-valve and hop strainer, as I have no idea how that kind of thing works.

I've seen these threads:

http://www.jimsbeerkit.co.uk/forum/view ... =6&t=30868

But as I don't know anything or have tools for drilling or soldering, I'm not sure what my options are.

If anyone has done this without too much effort (that is, assume I have no tools like a Q.Max) can you let me know what parts you used, fittings, tap, strainer?

I'm confused...does tap thread directly onto fitting, and then you can get hop strainer that threads on fitting inside boiler? Doesn't seem that easy, as in the pictures there is need for a piece of copper pipe that goes inside the fitting/connector? Does tap somehow connect onto the copper pipe then?
