Bottles and light

I hace some beer in brown bottles on a very cool window ledge.
Is this OK or should they be out of the light, even though they are in brown bottles.

they should be ok problems occur with off tastes when beer is left in clear bottles commonly known as "skunking"

It would probably be ok this time of year and if you weren't leaving them for long there. They are best out of sunlight wether they are in brown bottles or not.
