can someone calc the sg of a must.

Hi all.


Ive started a mead recipe using 1.5 kg of honey dissolved in water to 3.2 litres. Ive left headspace in the dj for the initial ferment but can anyone tell me the sg when i add theextra 1.3 litres to make a gallon batch.

Total volume of the must = 3.2l
Currrent sg = 1.110
1.5kg of honey

I believe that'll work out around 1.070 - 1.072 when topped up to 5 litres :thumb:

Thanks alot. So final brew will work out about 10%

If you wanted to maintain the SG at around 1.110 when you bring it up to 5L then you could add a further 0.8Kg (approx) of honey.
