Can you store wine in flip top bottles

if its for what I call drinking wine, stuff that's used often and will not last long in the house then yes I've even not bottled and poured direct from the demi jon for house wines. Anything over 6 months and they really need bottling correctly

Yep, can't see a problem. The advantage of corks is if a stuck brew starts brewing again, it might force the cork out instead of blowing the bottle. Swingtops can take some pressure so have a degree of safety. Screw tops have no mechanism to take any pressure or let any out, so you take a risk bottling a stuck brew in a screw top
