Hi im looking to brew a special beer for christmas and wondered does anyone have any recipies or tips? Not a massive fan of dark ale so could a good quality lager or stout kit be used?
Am new to the brewing lark so not sure what should go in the fermenter and what shouldnt!!

Any help greatly appreciated!

Kits or Full mash?

Kit wise, I am going to start Brewferm's Christmas beer soon, and keep that bottled until Christmas. this is supposed to be a dark brown ale though, according to the packet, so may not be to your taste.

There are other Christmas style kits, but i've never brewed any of them, so i cant help much, and when it comes to full mash brewing i havent got a clue!

I'm doing a barley wine in the next few weeks for Christmas about 60ecu in colour 9% abv with plenty of malt notes to it. I will also do in the Autumn an elderberry stout, again about 9%.
