Maybe showing my ignorance here but is it a Lurcher i ask as my mate used to keep them years ago, brilliant dogs.

Both are Greyhounds. Lurchers are a greyhound mixed with another dog.

mine is a rescue I got when I was living in Ireland. They said he is a whippet X lurcher, which probably means whippet and some other mix of sight hound(s).
