Going to do the Graham Wheeler Recipe for this for my Sister and her partner as a Xmas Pressie (where having a home made only Xmas this year). Which yeast would you recommend using. Thanks in advance :thumb:
 
Just been reading through the book myself! A quote from it... "The yeast strain used in the Dublin brewery is a modern culture derived from Arthur Guinness's original multi-strain one. It works rapidly, fermentation lasting only two to three days and is neither a top nor bottom fermenting - Quite a challenge for home brewers"

I've just done a nice stout with Nottingham :thumb:

Plenty of choc and roast malt in. :D

Thanks for all the recommendations people but think im gonna use a Young's red wine yeast i found down the back of the cupboard :lol: :lol: :lol:

Only Joking. I'm gonna go with the WLP004 Irish Ale Yeast as I want to get close to Guinness as I know the like it.
