Quick question. My hydrometer is calibrated to 20°C.

By using the calculator on here if the wort is at 63°C and reading 1030 it's actually 1045.

Can anyone confirm if this is correct? Or have I read this all wrong?

On the basis of "seeing is believing", do a Specific Gravity on a sample from the hot tap and then from the cold tap and you will witness the significant difference that makes the calculation look a lot more real.

I always reckon it's worth doing a check via the Calculator when you get past a ten degree difference ... :thumb:

... under ten degrees brings the reading into "My Operator Error" range! :doh:
