im going to be brewing a john bull cider kit. has anyone got any experience with this kit and can offer any advice like what extra chemicals might be needed or any potential tweeks? ive just got the basics- brewing suger and kit, sterilizer and bottles and bucket. do i need pectolase etc etc

any help would be great thanks.

One easy tweak that won't compromise your brew is to use less water if its. 40 pt make a 32 pt mix

You only need what's mentioned on the instructions - I would leave tweaking until you have a few brews under your belt.

fair play. as long as im not going to encounter any problems from not having the right bits and bobs im happy. thanks again klaus

The readymade kits have everything you need in them to make a good clear/nice tasting cider (but nothing beats cider made from apples that you've pressed) as Anthony said. there may be instructions to make it so your kit will be stronger.. adding less water it one step towards this.. or adding more sugar. do you have a hydrometer?

Cheers

Andy
