The recipe I'm following has malic acid in it but I was thinking of adding Bramley apples for flavour would there still be the need for the malic acid? or is it a case of one or the other?

This

23lt Lidl apple juice
2tsp yeast nutrient
2tsp citric acid
1tsp malic acid
8 Bramley apples
1 lemon (cut into 4)
10 chunks crystalised stem ginger (chopped)

1 sachet youngs sparkling yeast
It's a take on Fermentall's recipe but dropped 500g sugar because his was 8.4% and I've calculated with lidl sugar content it should come out 6.4% not taking into account 8 Bramley apples

I've only done a couple...but never added apples or any other fruits...just apple juice.
Apple juice, a tea made from 6 tea bags in about a litre of boiling water, for tannin, yeast nutrient and I think a teaspoon of citric acid..and yeast.
