RO Filter Booster Pump Fittings

Following discussions on another thread I took the plunge and invested in a booster pump from Vyair for my 50gpd RO filter. Tested it yesterday and found that the output has doubled from 6L/hr to 12L/hr which is great. The only problem I found is that once the push-fit fittings supplied are screwed tightly onto the pump's threads they point downwards meaning that the pump can't sit flat on the floor. I tried backing them out a bit until horizontal but they then leaked. Has anyone else had this problem or am I missing something? I assume a little washer may be required but what one?

I've found these have come in handy a LOT more often than I expected - one of them should fit ;-)

That looks like a useful kit and much cheaper than some single packs of washers I had looked at

Most recently used yesterday when I realised I'd mangled one of the washers inside my disconnects...
