NO! Pottasium sorbate is wine stabiliser, you use it at the rate of half a teaspoon per gallon and use 1 Campden at the same time to avoid the dreaded geranium taste. Campdens are sod met in small quantities, and stun yeast, pot sorb prevent yeast from multiplying which is what you want to do when you stabilise.
 
CTs are SodMet in a convenient, single dosage form.

Stabiliser is something completely different.

One level 5ml teaspoonful of SodMet powder is equivalent to 10 CTs.
