James your beers aren't on :-(
1st up Saltaire Cascadian Black Ipa, o.k, but imo a medocre ipa with black malt 4/10
Next Acorn brewery Simcoe IPA, that's more like it, I'm in pine heaven :-)...lovely bitterness
Gr8 aroma, very nicem
What next ?
No 3, Hardknott infra red IPA 6.5%, ruby red and as hoppy as a box of frogs says the blurb, they're not far wrong , lovely level of bitterness 8/10
Next
Twas very tempted J, but one black IPA was enough ....lol
This could get messy...1ne slice of cheese on toast all day....,next...lol
Mrs V1 is on cidre, my round...her half is 10.4% :-0
Twas a good night, phone died hence no more posts. I had a few more of the Infra Red IPA, really liked that. On a critical note the organisers really need to make sure more beers are available over all the days. For those who aren't familiar with these events a brewery will send say 4 beers, but the organisers chose when they go on, and usually stagger them.
A lot of the beers I wanted to try weren't on again, including the elusive Jaipur IPA...3rd year I've missed it At one point I was going to come home but I decided to go back on the Infra Red t'ill closing time. One of the beers I really wanted to try had been sampled and deemed too cloudy for serving......ffs...this is real ale we're talking about
Anyhow, must have enjoyed myself twas very hung over this am
Really jealous of James tonight/tomoz
