I am trying to create a copy of William Bros 'Prodigal Sun' which is flavoured with Spruce tips. Does anyone have any experience with this?

At what point should I add them?

Cheers

I'd suggest the last 10 minutes of the boil and don't use very much as the flavour is pretty strong. Look on US forums(eg homebrewtalk) for more ideas.

Hello,

Sorry, I should have introduced myself to the forum. I am a novice, and after a few kits am progressing onto extract brewing, working up to all-grain in time...

Thanks for the response. New Spruce tip growth will be available on trees soon and I will let you all know how it goes. Think I will add them to the boil at the beginning first and see how that goes.
