If I was to use a steel mesh waste paper basket in place of an actual grain basket for BIAB, is there any obvious reason I'm overlooking that makes it a terrible idea?

Grain baskets seem to go for around £50 where as these are all over the place for little more than a fiver:

The only thing i can think of is rust.
 
That's what I thought, the DIY video seems a bit much for my purposes as I only brew a gallon at a time in a very basic 10 litre stockpot.

Even if it does somehow go south, it's only five quid down the drain, and I can go back to the old reliable bag.
