Have done a wilko wine kit, have just racked it off and added the stabiliser and finings as instructed. It says to shake it up every now and then over the next 24 hrs to get rid of excess carbon dioxide. I have just done this and there were loads of white lumps in it (some quite large). Is there a problem or is this normal and what is it please?

Does it smell bad?

Does it taste bad?

Were the lumps there before you shook it?

Can you post a picture?

If you are going to make wine regularly you might like to make one of there to save time and effort - http://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/showthread.php?p=453191#post453191
