hi my ale has been in the fermenter for about 4 weeks now it finished fermenting 2 weeks ago but i have not be able to bottle till now, is it ok to bottle and prime ,i was worried that there will not be enough yeast for the bottle priming because it has been in the fermenter to long and settled...

tried my first bottle of diabolo 9 days i since it was bottled and wow already its the best thing iv brewed, such a great taste, its a shame in some ways its so strong , going to try and leave them now for a month so they taste even better

hi iv got a coopers dark ale kit, has anyone brewed this kit and what did you use anything to improve it , iv got some dark spray malt and was going to use 500g of that and 500g of brewing sugar

its down to 1010 now so if it the same tomorrow ill bottle it :party:

hi, my BREWFERM DIABOLO is still fermenting after 13 days is this normal for a very strong beer , there is little bits of yeast sitting on the surface of the wort will this sink when it has finished frementing and there are litte bubbles on the surface and when i smell it , it goes right up my...

tried one last night and it was just ok, really bitter but a nice taste think ill try one more tonight then leave them for 2 or 3 weeks :thumb:

whats the earliest you have drunk your stout, i bottled mine 5 days ago and just wondered what it would be like now, anyone drink there home brew early

just tested my hydrometer and in water it reads 1005 , is that right ???

its stopped again and is still at 1020 :(

i have given it a good stir and now the air lock bubbles about every 15 mins so its doing some thing

i put less water so it would be a stronger stout 18L instead of 23L, added 500g os dark spray malt and 300g of brewing sugar, is there a really good yeast that might get this going . at the moment this will be 2.4% not good

added some more newyeast 2 days ago and nothing happened still at 1020 , dont know what to do now , bottle some low alcahol stout ????? :(
