Hi guys started this wine off on the 16th april with some leftover plums followed the recipe off here and took my first reading this was 1090 i have just taken a reading of 1020 before putting it into new demijohns what is the alcohol reading likely to be and do i just leave it for a few more...
just a quick question i am due to bottle my coopers lager in a few days and i have quite a few grolsch bottles would these be suitable i dont want them blowing up haha.
time isnt a problem i was thinking the longer i leave it the better so earliest would be christmas and keep a good few bottles back for next year if all is well.
i started the wine in june put it in the demijohns but added 50 grams of citric acid by accident i have now transferred into other demijohns and left the crud behind i have a reading of 9.90 the first reading was 10.80 what sort of percentage would it be and also it has a good kick to it but...
3kg sugar, elderflower, 500g raisins crushed, 6 lemons and juice and 50gr of acidic acid plus water that Iis it. And i added 3tsp of yeast and 3tsp of yeast extract.
started a elderflower wine on saturday done a big batch about 14 bottles worth with 3kg of sugar with all the ingredients and then added 3tsp of yeast and 3tsp of yeast extract but still no activity of fermenting yet is this normal.

just purchased a king keg to go with my demijohns and would like to know what i can brew in it i am new to the home brewing and obviously just building up my equipment slowly as funds allow so i haven't got a secondary keg any advice would be great guys thanks.:drink:
superb fellas worked a treat got 5 and a three quarter bottles all looks very nice and clear i think these will be left for a few wks at least thanks.:whistle:
