    Mini keg thread size

Hi, yes I understand this but dark farm are not the only manufacturer I guess? And they don’t identify the thread size either.

    Mini keg thread size

I’ve seen this online https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F173616205776 I really fancy one of these, like the idea of a couple 2l and maybe a 5l. All fits in the fridge and cut down on the bottling. Happy days! However, I need to buy the kegs...

    Quick question about oats

Just to say, I’ve spent ages going through long complex descriptions of using oats in beer and my head was spinning. I’ve just learned more in 30 seconds reading through this wee post than anything else! Nice one folks! Cheers

    Klarstein mash kettle- worth getting?

Have you seen this https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B078495RGZ/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 (it was mentioned in another thread just last week sorry I don’t know how to share the thread, I’m using the tap a talk app). This includes an inner bucket that you can rise up so that...

Klarstein Maischfest - what am i missing?

Hi, I’ve seen this too it looks fantastic for the money. You mention a bazooka filter for the grains, it looks to me like it includes an inner bucket with mesh bottom so that you can raise - and presumably - batch Sparge a bit like the grain father? Do you think this would boil too...

    recarbonate a flat beer

Never heard of that! Assume its to kick the yeast back through from the bottom up. Just 3 days upside down in the warm and then back into the cold condition?

    recarbonate a flat beer

that's interesting Chub, I cant imagine why it would affect. Although in my case it was just a fairly small percentage of chocolate malt (150g) mixed in with 500g crystal and 3kg pale. (and if i don't say so myself tastes magic, even if it is flat as a pancake!)

    recarbonate a flat beer

Hi all I primed my last batch with priming drops, so I'm fairly sure I've dosed correctly (in fact if anything, pretty heavily - 2x prime drops per 500ml bottle - a chocolate IPA). They went into my brew fridge at 20°C post bottling for 2 weeks, but I noticed some of the bottles at the...

    Brew Fridge

Hi all, before I delve into this, is there any problems with mildew growing in the fridge when held at 20c type temperatures? Reason I ask, I've had a fridge put aside in the garage for a few weeks, powered off and door shut. Thing was stinking inside when I opened it! Covered in black mildew...

    Brupaks Boiler, 29L 2KW

Cheers Darren, a bit dissapointing about the uncertainty of the temp control, but I guess easily worked around with a thermometer. I guess BIAB would work then for a mash, keeping the grain off the element.

    Brupaks Boiler, 29L 2KW

Contemplating bidding on a brupak boiler 29L, 2KW on an auction just now, could land a bargain maybe £60 or so. Same as below... http://www.the-home-brew-shop.co.uk/acatalog/Brupaks_Electric_Boiler_Polypropylene.html A couple of questions that I cant find the answer to anywhere, was...

How portable is a keg of beer?

Good question, my guess would be that if you can try to keep it steady as possible in transit and then give it overnight on arrival it should turn out not too bad Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    All Brewdog recipes.... For free!

Hi all, I'm not sure if this is common knowledge but I've just seen this via twatter. Incase anyone else didn't know Brewdog have published all their recipes to download for free. Interesting read. Is this a bold move? Interested in the thoughts, seem a strange one to me. I guess they are...
