    Maris otter extra pale question

I use lager malt for all my brews. Bitters, Milds the lot.If I had a choice I would use Weyermanns pilsner malt but it does not really matter, As the saying goes it's what you do with it that counts. I use lager malt for the base then add10% f other malt e.g. Vienna or Munich with3 to 5% of very...

Dextrin Malt & Naked oat Malt

Can anyone advise me on using the malts mentioned. The Dextrin malt has no taste or colour but has mouthfeel. Do you think it is worth adding to a 23 litre brew and if so how much would you add?. My normal brew is four and a half kilos of Lager malt to 300 to 450 grms of Caramalt and that is it...

    Is this a good deal?

I would not buy this deal even for half that price. I choose which hops I want to use. Not packages. Take a tip and only buy the hops you need for the amount of malt you have.last week I bought 56kilos of malt and 400grms of hops. They will be gone in 6 weeks. Nice and fresh. Look at the malt...

Caramel Cream Ale Recipe Help Please

I have just finished off a brew of sweet mild type beer. A little to sweet for me. If I wanted sweet beer I would look to change my mineral additions for calcium and add more Calcium chloride to add sweet malty flavours rather than Gypsum which adds sulphate for more sharp hoppy styles of beer...
