    Toffee Apple Cider Recipe (UPDATED!)

L**L did`nt have any Pear halves. So all they did cheaply was Peaches in Syrup. I thought why not? So brewed up 5 gallons. Having liquidised the peaches in their syrup and heated them to drive off, hopefuly, some of the tinning additives. BUT when it came to heating the honey I am wondering if...

    FV Cupboard cooling equipment

Thank you Kev. That is a neat piece of reverse logic, putting the chopped fridge inside. It answered more problems than you could have imagined. As there is a small hotel room fridge available which I looked at canibalising the cooler from. Frankly it was a bit daunting!! Your way way nicely...

    FV Cupboard cooling equipment

Just begun building an FV cupboard. Stuying the posts here, I remain a bit confused as to which temp controller is the best route to go? ATC 800/STC 1000? Any advice/opinions appreciated. Secondly, I will be adding a cooling device and would gratefully recieve advise on what to use for that also.

    Bag slapping yeast

Following BS2 recipes, the yeast recommended is often of the bag slapping variety. (only availability from my supplier) Twice I have used it and twice I have suffered stuck fermentation. Since they seem to be widely and I assume successfully used. What is the secret methodology to get it to...

    Southern Reborn

Sorry Dieseljockey only just re-read your post. The recipe we follow is just the CJJ Berry Apple wine (2) page 123 in my ancient book. We add a little glycerine. - Also a half bottle of vodka to the five gallons really picks it up to scoffing quality as I recall???
