    Moley's Fruit Tea Wine Recipe

I've read every post within Moley's excellent Fruit Tea Wine thread and I was just wondering whether it is possible to use the fruit tea bags without the red or white grape juice. Reason being, at the moment there is a real shortage of red and white grape at my local stores. Because nobody in...

Your average pub pint compared to home brew?

It's been over 20 years since I last had a pub pint, unlike abeyptfc, I am somewhat tight and won't pay ridiculous prices for a pint of beer. Up until nearly 9 months ago if i wanted a drink other than wine I always bought my beer from the supermarkets.

    Banana wine

I made a Spiced Banana Wine last year and I'm hoping through time the strong flavour of the cloves will subside a bit as it has a real hard taste of Sarsparella.

    itchy demijohns

Wines that I make from fresh fruit and berries are put away to age a bit, but I also make quite a lot of wines from fruit juices which are usually ready to drink as soon as they have finished fermenting and clear, between 4 to 6 weeks.

    itchy demijohns

It's a sickness.....most people on this forum have it :D I promised my wife that I wouldn't make any more wines and ciders until I have used up some of my bottled brews. Today I couldn't help myself buying 20 litres of Apple Juice from Tesco's for £4.25.

    Solar panels.

This company is the one that are going to install solar panels on my roof. http://ashadegreener.co.uk/ As has bee said earlier in the thread, it's a rented roof scheme so the panels, instillation and maintenance is free.

If the Ribena wine has just finished fermenting you need to rack it into another clean demi john, stabilise , degass and leave it in a cool place until the wine clears, then bottle.

    Hydrometer Reading

What kind of yeast are you using, because most yeasts will tolerate an ABV of up to 14%. That's quite a lot of sugar to use in the primary fermentation, so you may need to use a high alcohol used like gervin 4
