I got this for christmas, have 20 ltrs of it conditioning in a barrell in my cupboard.

I short brewed it to 20, added a jug of black coffee and used dark spray malt and dark muscovado sugar when brewing it. I also used a hop tea bag - Willimate I think ?

Anyway, its very nice, looking forward to necking this in a month or two :drink:

What did you put in it Mick? I did one of these yesterday (can't stand the stuff personally, but my mate likes his beers dark) and added the same 1kg brewers sugar you did plus 150g demerera sugar and 350g of molasses. Looked like road tar going in, which I guess is a good thing! We are trying to get a good beer that's as cheap as chips, and this worked out at £13.19 for (hopefully) 23 litres.

Also, how long did you leave it in? We're thinking of leaving it 3 weeks, as we have a Brewfirm Triple with an OG of 1.096. Figured it wouldn't hurt both to have a little time in the FV!
