Ive just made a batch of Black Sheep Ale, (used some of my home grown fuggles too :) )and id normally use isinglass to add to my corny after transfering.

If i cannot get hold of any this time, what else can i use to clear? (whats the peoples prefference??)

I normally dont use anything when bottling and that clears fine, im tempted not to use anything this time and see what happens, but im really looking forward to this brew...

Use Gelatine - just the normal stuff you can find in the supermarket in sachets. Mix it to a smooth paste with boiled, cooled water and use in place of isinglass.

Gelatine - Mix it up using water at about 80C to get the gelatine to dissolve . . . then add a pint of beer and stir, then mix it into the bulk of the beer.

Don't use boiling water . . . . it destroys the fining action.

Cheers aleman, i read james to be Boiled, but Cooled first.

(saying that first few times i used gelatine i forgot to dissolve it  at all..)
