I would just get the 9mm one. The bung just needs to be thin enough to get into the inside of the pipe. That's not the part that forms the seal so it doesn't need to be spot on. The part that will form the seal is the mushroom head of the bung, which is wider then the inlet pipe. The pressure will push the underside of the bung onto the pipe and form a tight seal.

But nothing wrong with getting the second just in case
thnx my m8.
chuffed.
i’ll get the 9 & 9.5 lol…online shopping i go! fingers crossed i don’t buy over the ammount (i’m a a knob!)
btw when you watch the vid coming up, for all tested the internal it’s too small!
remember the days we fermented in our bottling bucket with the tap?
all come clear on this one, as long mega clean n sanitised!
WAIT OUT!🫡

closer today.
parts started to arrive.
tomorrow i’ll test it with know psi (around 5) using dialled in spudling valve.

if it holds overnight we know😂
still waiting on the bungs.
was looking at not using pressure, blow off tube via spunding valve & transfer large auto syphon.
catch yous the morn.

morning lads n lasses. was up sparrow fart!
could say at this time, time to ponder, smell the coffee.
one thing crept mounding my tiny mind is one thing, THE LID ITSELF!
comes down one thing in my own mind.
THE LID WAS DESIGNED FOR PURSPOSE in conduction with a boiler.
plain n simple managing a seal whilst distilling!
as pointed out not only by one but others.
heheh! i do listen bless me!
to cut a long story short!
for all i started testing with low psi (around 1-3psi)
‘my **** fell out!’ and it held!
i’m with yous as far as too much pressure! (hmm there’s a song in there somewhere!) could damage it.
you could say i had to experience it for mysel!
and i did!
not a total flop, just needed to learn the limitations.
soooo pressure ferment OUT!
natural ferment via blow off spunding valve.
if anyone worried about the lid and ‘Critters’ getting in’ LEAST THE LID HAS THAT COVERED & co2 blanket will do the job.
i remember one of my first placca FV’s n getting cheesed off why the bubbler wasn’t working! we’ve all been thought it lol
as u can guess it was actually the seal in the lid! and fermentation went mint!

so i can say 100% certain that the seal off the lid and set up works for natural ferment.
back up from practice that the kids made for!! vapours! hmmm! say no more.
where did i go from here.
i’ll fire pics first, then explain to double check my theories of the lid going on!! think you get it, prove it in another boiler under natural ferment.🤦‍♂️🥴🫡

Onto lid fit for purpose 2#;)
Still Spirits Boiler.

NOTE FOR ALL TESTED UNDER PRESSURE, WE CAN AGREE IT'LL BE NATURAL FEMENT!

Starting on a 24L Baltic Porter using a new yeast for me, Novalager.
so, looking fwd to your views so far, & i can handle ''Told you so!''
Tough skin.
As i said i had to experience for mysel, otherwise it eat away on my tiny brain!:confused.:

for full discloser i’ll edit the full vid (not public ) and fire the link over.
any probs get back to me lol
