Hello everyone,

I'm new to home brewing. I have put 5 litres from my first batch into an easy keg.

The problem I have is that I didn't buy the bung for the easy keg, and naively used the dust cap, which actually worked. However, when replacing the dust cap for the bung, I lost a lot of CO2 from the barrel and I think the can has been de-carbonated?

Is there any way to re-carbonate the beer in the easy keg?

Regards,

Nick

Hi, I'm sure there's no way of adding gas to the keg but I suppose you could try re- priming it and see what happens. Sorry I can't help more.

how long ago did you prime the keg? the dust cap is not the best seal so you will have to re prime. you can get a tap for the kegs that allows you to use co2 to prime and serve.
