Fitting stainless steel tap to a plastic bucket

Is there any reason why I can't fit a stainless steel tap to a plastic FV? I also know someone else was asking about doing the same to a plastic boiler.

none i can think of other than weight leading to tap sag, i had a SS valve fitted onto my PP bucket hlt.

tap sag - in a placky boiler especially hdpe the plastic can soften with heat and under that circumstance a front heavy tap/valve can let gravity pull it down...
