Just had a glass of Woodforde's Nelson's Revenge, that has been kegged for a tad over 6 months and I was surprised how good it tastes. I was about to sling it to make way for another brew. Has anyone got any similar experiences and what the longest you're kept beer in a keg and when you have tasted it, you find its not that bad?

I've had a batch of BetterBrew Yorkshire Bitter in my King Keg for 6 weeks and it's just starting to get good - shame there's only about 6 pints left! ;-)

most beers will last 9months+ in a keg or bottle, lighter beers may thin a tad as residual yeast slowly breaks down complex sugars that provide body, but highr gravity beers can last way longer some requiring a 12month+ maturing period like rich heavy imperial stouts..

as long as your sanitation and cleanliness is up to scratch and the beer is kept away from O2 and UV light and sealed it will be fine....
