I shelled a load of peas yesterday and had an empty bucket so ..... simmered pods with handful of raisins and some sugar and a couple of tea bags then when cooled a bit chucked in bucket with some citric acid and some general purpose white wine yeast and some more water.
Today I shelled more peas so just chucked them in too.
It is sitting on a heat pad.
Looks foul  but at least it smells of peas.
I am utterly clueless but hey-ho its an experiment and if it is repulsive I have only wasted some sugar ;)
Will report back in due course!

CJJ Berry has something similar, but without the raisins. It was quite pleasant, but didn't taste of anything in particular.

A few years ago when we had an alotment Mrs Snail had a go at making Pea Pod wine. All I can say is you could realy taste the pee.

I hope not! I will settle for "tasting of nothing in particular"!

Well what did it turn out like??
Checking Mrs. Pink's profile, she hasn't been back since the end of August.
I hope her disappearance isn't related to the pea pod.
