Brew an American amber, balls up from start to finish

Pale malt
Cara gold
Crystal 40
Biscuit
Carafe 2 for colour at mash out

Hops Amarillo leaf
Strata pellet

I never even took a gravity reading. The 100g leaf hops clogged everything 😕

I haven't brewed since November, just waiting on My order to get started again. First up I am looking to brew a dark lager, something similar to julebock from Lervig. It's brewed as a Christmas dark lager, flavour mainly from base and Carmel malts with a hoppy finish. No roast or chocolate flavour from my memory, maybe a bit of black malt for colour at the end.

Brewing a simple golden ale tonight

4kg Maris otter
500g wheat

20g Ernest@30mins
30g Ernest @10mins
30g Ernest + 30g Harlequin@ hopstand
70g Harlequin@ dry hop

Not sure on the yeast. I have lax or old English WHC yeast

Some new yeast to try. This is a hybrid Saison yeast. Hopefully I get brewing this week

1 kg light Munich
150g light crystal (120)

20g Ernest @30mins
20 g Ernest+ 20 g Olicana @ 10 mins
30g Olicana + 20 g Talus @flameout

OG 1.042

I will dry hop with Talus and Olicana, not sure on qualities yet. I will use some of the yeast cake from my dark lager.
