Added a yeast lucky dip to my latest order from BrewUK and got some nice yeasts that I'm looking forward to using and having a go of some styles I wouldn't normally use :)

Yeasts I got were,

Wyeast 3056
WLP060
WLP400
WLP644
WLP650

The one I'm a little unsure on is WLP650. From what I've read this is used for secondary fermentation in Belgian beers.

Anybody have any experience of using this strain and offer any tips etc.

Thanks

I got WLP650 in a lucky dip a while back. I did a split batch Tripel, pitching the Brett. into secondary and leaving it to do its thing for a few months. The beer turned out really well. I didn't make a starter, as I reckoned on Brett. being fairly hardy. You could always do a search for an Orval recipe.
