That sucks, your employer not patenting it.
Ok, and bank details too? :P
I forgot about NDAs. I don't have deep pockets to take big companies to court if they steal my idea :( That's one of the things that annoy me with the patent system, seems to work if you got big pockets to have fancy...
Hello All
I was just looking into how you patent a invention, lots of websites saying they will do all the work for you for a fee of course, thousands often. Then people say you can do it yourself for hundreds of pounds, but I haven't found a good manual so to speak of to follow. I was just...
It seems just this year some bug usually borrows itself either at the top right in where he stalk goes, or the likewise on the bottom of the apple and eats the core away, or makes the core very nasty looking, like you think should you cut it out, is it going to make the whole brew bad.
I was wondering if anyone else has any tips of keeping apples fresh and stop them going brown once cut.
I usually just put the cut apples in water before I scrut them. But I have a lot of apples to inspect this year (due to pests) before I scrut them and was wondering is a citric acid solution...
Thanks for your suggestions. Turns out it did fermet. I was just antipectiating the worst and expecting a bit more of a show. Thanks again. Also I have just noticed I spelt "date", "data". Back to school for me.
Well we started the kit on the weekend 18th to 19th of April and repitched the yeast with youngs ale yeast that was in date on 23rd of April. The sugar was also out of date, but sugar is sugar isn't it, doesn't really have a gone off date surely. Someone raised the question could the liquid in...
Hello All
We were making beer for the first time so tried one of those can kits.
Made is all up, put it in 25L bucket with sugar and waited. But no bubbling occured through the air lock. Added some more yeast and put it on a heat plate to see if it will start, but still nothing.
We did notice...
Hello All
I am seeking to get better clariety with my wines and cider and was wondering if any else is using a HF Vinbrite Mk3 Filter kit?
I was just wondering if they are any good?
I was using coffee filter papers, but that took forever and eventually tore apart.
Regards
Jon
Hello All
I will be making wine soon and was wondering does anyone else leave the grapes on the vine? Before you press them.
I am just asking as it took me a few days to strip all the grapes off their vines before I pressed it.
Plus I have read in various places that the vines add or don't...
Many wine recipes say remove the stalks. Now does that mean ALL stalks? Or can you leave some on? I just spent hours taking the grapes of the stalks and i still have three barrels to go. I am removing the thick stalks. But is it ok to leave the little ones on the grapes?
Also does anyone...
Hey. Sorry about the late reply, I been busy with college work :-( Thinking about he probably said mulled. It was windy. I tried Ribena Winter Spice. Which depending on how much you put in, did take away the tarty taste a bit. So a sort of win.
When I was getting my apples scrutting to make this year's cider. I was talking to a "old boy" about my previous batches of cider I have made. And I was saying one sort of failed because it was "tarty flavour". He mentioned that I could add mullet (I think he said mullet, I am just calling it...
I tried granulated sugar, only because I had it to hand at the time and that didn't improve it. I was thinking after my mum has made jam, I could get some of the residual syrup to add hopefully making the cider more drinkable. I just need it drank before this year's cider season because I need...
