Hi I've got a king keg with s30 valve and when adding gas this leaks. The keg is in a cold place. When I added gas earlier beer was good, gone to it a few hours later and no beer so added more gas. Gas escaped straightaway. Can anyone help. Husband put gas cylinder in fridge could it be too cold.

Has anyone tried to use a steam steriliser to clean their bottles ready for bottling

Hope this isnt a silly question but what should the reading be when fermentation complete?

No didn't use hydrometer as I think maybe faulty need to buy a new one. There are no gas escaping from airlock so presumed not fermenting. When we have done beer been constantly bubbling but nothing with the wine. We definitely new to all this.

Hi all had to transfer to another fv as the lid was not sealing properly but still no fermentation can anyone suggest anything please

It's a fv one that we haven't used before. Would it be ok to transfer to another fv?

Hi I set of a wine kit on Sunday and as yet no bubbles are coming out of the airlock. The temp should be ok as we set of a beer kit at the same time and that is going really well. Any ideas??

I checked my paperwork it was actually 1.02 not 1.002 if that sounds better

I tried some really cold and some that were slightly warmer no difference. It came gushing out.

It didn't taste nice as the sediment from the bottom came up before could pour into a glass. Although we have managed to get 2 bottles which didn't overflow and they tasted rather good.

It was 1.002. I drop to a 500ml bottle.
