    Problems making candi sugar

I add the granulated sugar and water to the pan. Add the small amount of lemon juice and boil sugar for 20 mins between 127-135C. Towards the 20 minute point the sugar changes and because less fluid which a grainy appearance to the bubbles. This time I did it I only go to about 18 minutes when...

    Cornelius Keg Cleaning ideas

I'll give that a go, having bought a keg off eBay I didn't really feel satisfied until I got a brush to it.

    Brew shed size

I'm having the same idea. I'm realistically only limited to 8x6 too which is going to be pretty cosy if you've got the ladders and bikes in there. One idea I have is to dig down maybe 4ft or so to have a micro cellar under the floor.

    Cornelius Keg Cleaning ideas

If anyone's stuck for ways to clean out the liquid-in tubes on corny kegs I can recommend camelbak cleaning kits like this: http://bildr.no/view/1293444 The diameter of the pull-through brush is just about right!

Pint head - What does this mean to you?

I was actually referring to the picture in question. And how random the head was, as opposed to something totally uniform like you'd get out a can or bottle. Does the head in the pic mean it's an old keg?

Pint head - What does this mean to you?

Here's the head of some Old Speckled Hen that was on pub cask. I'm not sure if it always appears like this but I have noticed it a few times on maybe other beers too although hadn't given it much thought until OH asked. Random bubbles with dud parts of white.

    Yeast Types

With the beer kits i've come across HTB, GTB, LEB and X HZB 6G. This is what's written on the foil yeast sachets. Can't see any of these names in the yeast data sheets in the sticky. I just wanted to know their alcohol tolerances, temperature range etc. Anyone have any ideas?

Woodfordes Great Western Railway Ale discontinued

Oh interesting, didn't know it wasn't released yet. Don't suppose you're familiar with Great Eastern then for a comparison?
