Hi all, I have a few demijohns spare and I've decided to give mead a go for the first time.
Because of the time of year I was thinking of a spiced mead (cinnamon, clove's, allspice ETC), that way it'll be good for Christmas.
Is this over ambitious for a first mead and should I make a plain mead...

This is basicly a carbon copy of the 'Best Larger Kits' thread...
Im still very new to homebrewing myself but im more of a bitter man.
The only bitter kit I have done is the Coopers English Bitter which I made with the recomended brew enhancer and found it really good.
Im going to start a new...
I have one of those hand held ones and there blumin leathel! ( it was a quid from the charity shop ).
Its my birthday soon aswell so might ask the wife for the one linked :thumb:
Just a top 2 from me as Ive only made a few largers and only found 2 I would really recomment (there both great though!)
1) Coopers Canadian Blonde + Coopers brew enhancer - Its impossible to get wrong an I can drink it all day long, really great brew.
2) Wilkos Cerveza as per kit instructions...
Thanks for the offer Johnnyboy1965, im off on Monday if your free but then im in Sweden for the rest of the week with work.

Let the hop roulette begin then!
Itll be interesting to see if anything comes to fruit and what its like, im still very new at this so might reach out to the community (especially any local brewers) to help me identify it when the time comes :)
I'll keep you posted.
