Quick disconnects (with shut off) for 3/16 tubing

This more readable sale on Amazon seems to imply it will work with 3/16 plastic hose: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CJM5LWG2/ref=emc_b_5_t?th=1 But the image shows barb OD 4.7mm -> 6mm I don't think my 3/16 beer line will cope with a barb that size

Quick disconnects (with shut off) for 3/16 tubing

I'm hoping to do a little upgrade of my tubing to add some of these quick disconnects with auto shut off. I'm struggling to find if they are available for 3/16 tubing. I guess the barb needs to be around 4mm diameter and at that thickness might not be too strong. Has anyone found or tried any...

CO2 Woes. There's got to be an easier way!

That's really pants you can't get your van sorted. BOC wouldn't even let me open a new account even at their prices. Welders must really be struggling.

CO2 Woes. There's got to be an easier way!

Yeah, that's step 1 and I have been doing this. There is a downside that it causes sediment and the dip tube will drag some of this through. This is what makes me think putting a sugar brew in a separate corny may save on gas without the sediment.

    Slug problems... anyone?

I get slugs if I don't keep a dehumidifier going downstairs during winter. It's a 1950s suspended timber floor house with some unavoidable gaps around the skirting boards and they will always find a way in. They drove me mad, literally slipping on them on the wooden floors because they're...

CO2 Woes. There's got to be an easier way!

As the latest CO2 crisis hit the UK I turn my thoughts back to 'There must be a better way to dispense beverages than rely on bulk CO2 cylinders'. Getting beer from my cellar to the taps is a simple enough operation pushed by regulated CO2 I normally get from various local suppliers. This week...

3/8 John guest type fittings o ring replacement

Does anyone know what size the o rings are in John Guest 3/8th push fit? I have a Cornelius gas management board that's started leaking and I've resolved it by borrowing a JG o ring. Hoping to find a good supply of the replacements on ebay. I measure the worn one as: 2.69mm thick 9.3mm id...

    Under counter flash cooler repair

While I'm on I thought I'd update. I got a fresh looking 'MF Shelf Cooler - 4 Coil' from ebay seller 'notrocketscience-1' located in Preston for around £200. Very pleased with this and the transaction and the item. I've got to work out what to do with the old one still but I think it might have...

    Under counter flash cooler repair

There are some good options on ebay at the moment too. I will probably go down that route and sell the Calypso as spares. I have a size issue... Yep the trap door to the cellar is a certain size so I can't buy any cooler without knowing exact dimensions. I had to trim a flap off the Calypso to...

    Under counter flash cooler repair

Thanks Dutto. That's another line I'll try. So far domestic goods repair people have just said they don't do low end compressors/coolers because it would cost £200 and isn't economically viable. It seems many repair shops just don't do fridges or freezers. One shop said to search for...

    Under counter flash cooler repair

I've been running a Calypso 9 4 product cooler for the last couple of years with great results. It seems the compressor has packed up though and it's not cooling. Has anyone ever found a cost effective method of replacing the compressor? It may only need re-gassing but I suspect I might as...

    Foaming

What temperature is your keg at? I've got a similar setup and the only thing that solves it is getting the beer down to <5 degrees or putting less gas in it. Imagine it was a bottle of beer at that CO2 level, if you didn't chill it in the fridge it'd hit the roof with foam.
