    Hosepipe ban.

One minute we have transit vans floating down high streets the next minute we have hosepipe bans. It's a sad case that we can't manage water better in this country. I guess the infrastructure investment is driven by shareholders. Say no more.

    Beer Glasses ?

Hi Kingtj. I have 3 boxes of 48 and 3 boxes of 24 branded glasses. I wanted to put them on ebay but I'm concerned I may get some saying they are broken on arrival, hoping for a refund, hassle then starts. I sell a lot of things on Ebay but usually undisputable stuff or cash on collection. See if...

Whoops I've added too much water! Any advice welcome

Thank you very much. I have some LME so I will add what about 1/4 kilo? So you mean the sachet that came with the kit to add after fermentation?

Whoops I've added too much water! Any advice welcome

I've filled a 32 pint Woodfordes Admiral kit up to the 40 pint mark out of habit. Does anyone know whether it will be ok or should I add something to it as a substitute. At the 4 day point I have to add a sachet of dry hops. Terry

    Myhermes follow up.

Yes you're right I'm probably wingin it. If it was a French vehicle I would just expect it to fail but not a VW unit. The age of the car is well out of it's 3 year warranty but the warranty mileage is 60,000, so even VW are confident the turbo should easily last that long. My argument is that...

    Myhermes follow up.

Hi Graz, I sell quite a bit of stuff on ebay and now select a courier through ebays packlink service depending on the level of importance. I still use hermes occasionally because our local lass is spot on and living a way from a P.O it's convenient. It's a shame she should suffer because of the...

    Myhermes follow up.

I thought I'd better follow up on an earlier post during lockdown when poor delivery companies were discussed. I issued a court moneyclaimonline against Hermes for the 3 maks that went missing. and within a week the masks appeared at the delivery address in Hoo Kent. 3 months after sending...

    Co2 or Beverage Gas

I have a spare pub gas cylinder you can have but I'm across in Humberside. Then you'd have to know a pub that stocks the same brewery gas to exchange it or a gas supplier to refill it. It's a bit rusty but would clean up.

    ****Fermentasaurus Mega Giveaway****

The snubnose looks dead snazzy, proper show off material. I keep very thorough records of every brew and would enjoy reviewing this new bit of equipment. I'm still on bucket and barrels/bottles, so a step into the future for me.

    Priming sugar type question

Really fizzy the best I've brewed so far. I will always use honey for priming from now on. I have no knowledge of the dextrose, sorry. Since I'v started making beer again keeping detailed logs is crucial for repeating a winning formula. I'm thinking of making some elderberry wine in the autumn...

Pandemic deliveries just not cutting it.

That's a brill video, can't fault the guy really, his fuse went, but tried to put it right.

    Honey instead of sugar.

Hi Ray, I've done 5 kit brews so far on my return to brewing. The first one I used normal sugar, it tasted poor just like the brews I made in the early eighties. Since that one I have used, honey/normal sugar mixed / light malt extract and dark malt extract, also primed with honey. I have been...
