That's the one that many members on this forum, including myself use. Very reliable, just plug the fridge and heater into it's sockets, set the target temp and leave. £26.99 is a decent price, you may get something cheaper if you are prepared to build an enclosure and do some soldering, but is it worth it?

I bought one from Amazon about 6 weeks ago, a few quid more, and built my fridge which works brilliantly, so easy to do, wish i'd done it earlier.......recommended :)

They're very good and a hassle free setup.

If you're competent at wiring, you can get an STC-1000 for about 1/3rd of the price.

Thanks for the replies, I did have a look at some of the self build versions but I thought for a few quid extra I might aswell go for it. Thanks what sort of heaters do you guys put in? I was thinking just a small 30cm greenhouse one

I've used everything from an infra-red reptile bulb to a little hair-dryer but I'm currently back on 60 watt light bulbs and a 12 volt fan for stirring the air.

I did have the lamp head shrouded in foil for a while but the bulb got so hot the solder melted to the bulb holder, and the compound that keeps the glass in crumbled. It was pretty nasty.

Sounds like you enjoy living on the edge...

£12.30 with free postage for a 60W tube heater. Safer, longer lasting, and better thermal properties than a lamp.

Don't forget to mount them horizontally some members have mounted them vertically in the past not knowing its a fire risk.

The WiFi one is handy with its high and low temp alarms via the app.
+1 for the wireless version. I can monitor the temp of the fv in the brewfridge from the sofa and pitch yeast as soon as right temp is reached. I can also keep an eye on my brew from work :laugh8:

Does what it says on the tin. Wifi version wasn't available when I got mine so would contemplate that version now.

They have had some flash sales on amazon recently. I grabbed A WiFi version for around 30 quid so maybe look out for that.

Inkbird ITC-308 Wifi version.... Wouldn't want to be without it controlling temp in brew fridge.

Alarms to phone if necessary, can change temps and settings via phone also. Must have wifi connection wherever brewing fridge is located to use wifi connectivity.

Bought from Inkbird as the thermometers that I won or was given by them were very good, which swayed it. Bought mine with a 25% off discount code bia Amazon for around £30 delivered. Offers are on regularly so keep an eye out.

Just to clarify, the parameters can only be adjusted whilst connected to the same network?

I find the concept very appealing because I work away from home; but if away from home I can't be on the same WiFi network.
